How do I activate my account?

When you joined you will have received an email with an activation link.  Click the link or if required cut and paste it into your browser.  If you have lost the email simply request a password reminder and the link will be included in your password reminder email too.

Text Exchange is a banner exchange which means you need to display our banners on your website to earn credits that can be used to display your banners on other peoples website.  Your banners will begin to show once 100 visitors have seen the banners on your website.

What kind of websites and banners do you allow? (do you allow adult content?)

NO ADULT CONTENT. NO HATE, NO WAREZ, NOTHING ILLEGAL, NOTHING ILLICIT, NOTHING IMMORAL, NO BANNER FARMS, NO FRAME BUSTERS. It's common sense stuff really, but for the record we're here to promote legitimate websites only.

Typically our members promote online businesses, businesses tools and business events. As long as these meet with the above guidelines and don't offend anyone then that's fine by us.

Are there any specific websites you do not allow?

Yes, in addition to the above do not promote any of the following or your account will be deleted without notification:

Do you allow popups, pop-unders and exit pages?

Unfortunately the use of popups, pop-unders and exit pages are far too common to be of any effect anyway.  Our policy is to allow a maximum of 1 from the page associated with the banner click. 

If you are earning credits from another program that shares your ad as a popup somewhere else keep in mind that except in exceptional circumstances the viewer will be hostile towards your advert and it may actually be detrimental to your success.

Also make sure that the adverts you end up promoting won't get you banned from the exchange (for example use of pornographic material).

Do you allow the use of languages other than English?

A page must not use less than 90% English otherwise it may be paused or removed from the system.

What are your terms and conditions?

Why do I see my banners on your site using my credits?

Our website is growing in popularity and there is as much chance of making a sale from your banner being shown here as much as anywhere!  However, we do cycle ALL our customer banners on this site so one of two situations may arise:

1.  If you are promoting a common product someone maybe using the same banner as you.  In this situation none of your credits will be used.

2.  We give you 1000 impressions free to cover the rare situations when you are shown your own banner on this site.  This will more than compensate you!
